It was another happy trip home as the Blue Devils won a huge 71-66 win at Clemson last night – the 21st straight win over the Tigers. It was certainly a roller coaster ride as we opened an incredible 24-point lead in the first half thanks to arguably our best 20 minutes of the year and then made some huge shots and plays in the second frame to hold off the hard-charging Tigers for the win.

Note from Nut:

Unbelievable game. First 20 minutes Duke played great. Last 20 minutes UGH. Never saw so many uncontested lay-ups as in 2nd half. Defense fell apart. No one switched off, etc. One thing is odd about this team. Every other Duke team I have watched always was terrific in coming out in 2nd half fired up and winning the first 5 minutes of 2nd half, which is big since it sets tone for rest of game. In each of last two games, this team has come out in 2nd half totally flat and lost momentum in the first five minutes setting tone for close games.
