If anyone had questioned if we were going to be a running and pressing team in 2007-08, our first exhibition game of the year should squelch those old beliefs as Duke ran its way to a 134-55 victory over Robert Brickey’s Shaw Bears in Cameron last night. The “Runnin’ Blue Devils” featured 10 players scoring in double-figures with its two big men – Lance Thomas and Kyle Singler - combining to make 16-of-17 shots from the field. Shaw had a couple of injuries to deplete its lineup but, nonetheless, this brand of Duke Basketball is fun to watch and you can see the players really enjoying themselves out on the court.
Tomorrow we take on Division II national champion Barton College at 5 pm in Cameron.

Sounds like they have a real powerhouse. I'm sure Shaw was highly regarded
